Adriano Andrade is Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). He coordinates the Center for Innovation and Technological Assessment in Health at UFU. His group developed TREMSEN - Precise Tremor Sensing Technology, to measure motor signals of Parkinson’s disease.

Luiza Maire is a physiotherapist and PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at UFU. She has been applying TREMSEN in the clinical context.

Gabriel Escudeiro is a neurosurgeon graduated at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). He has been using TREMSEN in the surgical context.

Rickson Mesquita is a Professor of Physics at UNICAMP working with optical instrumentation for clinical applications.

Ligia Ratti is a Physical Therapist and supervisor of the adult intensive care unit (ICU) of the Clinical Hospital at UNICAMP.

They started collaborating during the COVID-19 pandemics to measure the vascular reactivity in patients hospitalized at the ICU to predict patient outcomes before intubation in severe COVID cases. Since then, they have started new initiatives to employ optical instrumentation built at Rickson's lab to better understand unknown problems in respiratory physical therapy.

Elizabeth Condliffe – University of Calgary – physician/engineer
Rahul Udasi – Trexo Robotics – engineer

Elizabeth Condliffe is a biomedical engineer and specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation at University of Calgary, interested in improving the care of people with cerebral palsy and other causes of neurodisabilities.

Rahul Udasi is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Trexo Robotics, with a BASc and a MEng in mechatronics.

Trexo Robotics builds wearable robotics to help children with disabilities and walking impairments experience over-ground walking in clinics and at home. Dr. Condliffe has been studying the clinical use of the Trexo in home and community settings.

Diego Fernandez Slezak, Ph.D

University of Buenos Aires, Argentina

Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Buenos Aires. During his Ph.D he focused on parameter estimation in complex biological models, for which he won the IBM PhD Fellowship. Then, he decided to devote himself to research on the border between artificial intelligence and neuroscience. He received the prestigious Microsoft Faculty Fellow Award 2014 for his work in this field. He is currently a researcher at the ICC Institute (CONICET) and professor at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires. In addition, Diego is a specialist in natural language processing, with particular application to the characterization of mental states. In 2017 he co-founded Entelai, a startup focused on the application of state-of-the-art IA in the health system.
